THE MAN JESUS CHRIST

Preamble (1): Apostle Peter admonishes "sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: [being] ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear". 1 Pet 3:15 [ASV]

Preamble (2): A Bible Preacher once said "The quest to finding the Truth is in our sincere and honest approach in studying the Word of God".

Yes, I do take a clue from these two statements anytime I am studying the Word of God.
However, I have been asked several questions by a number of ignorant students of the Bible who deny the very existence of Christ Jesus, His deity and what the scriptures have said about who Jesus Christ is. The Apostle Peter warns us against this people; "in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction" 2 Pet 3:16 [NASV]

I have to take a little of our time to briefly write this as a reply to those people and their cronies who are Antichrist agents and who are being sponsored by the Satan. 1 John 4:3, 2 John 7

Today there are many fictitious, unfounded lies and misconceptions about who the person Jesus Christ is. To the Pharisees and the Sadducees He was their greatest enemy. To the High Priests and the Jews, Christ was never their promised Messiah. Some simply did refer to Him as mere carpenter's son! Yes, He was the son of a Carpenter, but who is this man Jesus Christ? Subsequently, there have been several succeeding attempts to discredit the truths about the man Jesus Christ by many cults, sects, and movements such as the "Common Sense Family/Movement" and their allies in these last days.

Interestingly, the Word of God has ample evidence of who really is the man Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the 'central figure' of the Bible. He is the 'pivot' which the rest of God's Word balanced on. The 'hub' which the whole Bible grinds and wheels around.

If not this man Christ Jesus, the whole of the Word of God, the plan of salvation would have been utterly meaningless! Yes indeed, Jesus Christ [His birth, death and resurrection] is the Gospel of God. Rom 1:16-17, 1 Cor 15:1-3

All the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Son of God or the Messiah were fulfilled in the New Testament by this man Christ Jesus.

For instance, after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God made a promise that the "seed of woman" shall bruise the head of the serpent - Gen 3:15, this is what the Apostle Paul said in Gal 4:4 that Christ Jesus is fulfillment of that promise seed. This was accomplished when the Lord Jesus died and rose from the dead the third day. Rom 16:20

The Bible reveals the whole truth about the identity and the person Christ Jesus as;
1. The Word of God - John 1:1,14, Rev 19:11-13
2. The Righteousness of God - Jer 23:5-6; 33:14-16, 1 John 2:1
3. The Saviour of the world - John 4:42, Lk 2:11, Acts 13:23
4. The Mediator of God and man - 1 Tim 2:5, 1 John 2:1
5. The Son of God - Lk 1:32,35, Mat 4:3,6; 8:29; 27:54
6. The Promised Messiah - John 1:41; 4:25
7. The King of kings and the Lord of lords - 1 Tim 6:16, Rev 19:16
8. The Power and Wisdom of God - 1Cor 1:24,30
9. The Morning star - Rev 22:16, Num 24:15
10. The Final Judge of the world - 2 Cor 5:10, Rev 19:11
