I concede to what the Psalmist said in Psalms 39:4 "Lord, make me to know my end. And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am".

Let me tell you this story about the Hen and her a week-old five (5) Chickens.
Once upon a time in ‘Land of Wailing’ the Hen hatched five beautiful chickens. A week later the chickens asked the Hen their mother, mother aren't you taken us out to see the beautiful atmospheric world to enjoy some ants and termites you solely eat. The mother Hen was worried and disturbed with their request but agreed to take them out.

On one fateful day the Mother took them out for a wonderful stroke. The chuckle little chickens ate every ant and termite on their way and enjoyed the good atmospheric conditions in the vast world. It was an opportunity of experience to meet and encounter with their other species of birds etc. It was for the day! They had their freedom and happiness despite the burnings of the scorching sun!
In the evening the chickens asked the mother Hen again mummy when is the next outing? The mother was sad and sorrowfully replied to them that from now onwards I shall take you out. But remember my lovely and beautiful chickens there is this great enemy we always fight up there. It is the HAWK of course! It comes only for 'you' little chickens and nothing else. We shall surely meet 'him' on the way. If I see it I will cry out loud and you shall run under my wings OK. They said we shall...!

The whole family went out this time. The chickens were enjoying and playing around. Unfortunately the enemy Hawk flew over, the mother cry out with strength to its chickens and they all scatteredly ran for their lives, all the five. A moment later they came back, and sorrowfully one was missing.

The remaining 4 little chickens asked: "Mother where is our brother?".
Mother Hen replied: "The Hawk has come for it"

The 4 little chickens fearfully asked again: "Shall it come again for one of us too?"
Mother Hen replied: "Yes of course it shall surely come back"

The 4 little chickens once again asked: "So when shall the Hawk return for us?"
Mother Hen said: "I don't no"

Indeed the Mother Hen knew that the Hawk shall return BUT she is not certain as to when their enemy will come back. Whether in the morning she doesn't no! Whether in the afternoon, evening or in the midnight hour she is absolutely NOT sure.

My story ends! The import of it is the "enemy death". Death shall inevitably come for us all one by one BUT WHEN.....? And how prepared are you to face it when it comes...?
Psalms 90:12 says "So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom"

THE END
