THE TENETS OF THE CHURCH OF LIVING GOD MINISTRY - (TCLGM)

The Church of Living God Ministry does not perceive to be a new movement, sect or denomination set up, organized or established in the latter days of our Lord Jesus Christ second coming in the Christian world. But rather the church is pious in the restoration of the original plan of God of saving mankind through His church which was prophesied, promised and established by Jesus Christ – Isa 2:1-3, Mic 4:1-2, Mat 16:18-19, Acts 2:1-47.

In other words the church is faithfully building on the strong and solid foundation of Christ Jesus and the Apostles which have been already laid – 1 Cor 3:10-11, Eph 2:20-22.

The Church of Living God Ministry has ‘Ten (10) thematic tenets or beliefs’ which the rest of its practices and doctrines hang on.

#1. We believe in the TRINITY or GODHEAD – that is one GOD who exists in three persons (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). 1 John 5:6-9, 2 Cor 13:14, Col 2:9, Rom 1:20.

We believe in the supremacy of God Almighty, and worship Him through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ and accept the powerful presence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as the third person of Godhead. John 3:16, John 14:1, 6; 16:12-16

#2. We believe in the AUTHENTICITY of the scriptures (Bible) as the only inspired book to guide our faith. 1 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:20-21. That is the entire 66 books of the Bible, which comprises the Old Testament and the New Testament. We use the Old Testament book of the Bible as references and or our examples, but we worship and cite all our practices and beliefs in the New Testament. John 5:39, Rom 15:4, 2 Cor 3:4-6, Heb 8:13; 9:15

#3. We believe that SALVATION is free gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. Eph 1:7, 2:8-10; John 1:12; I Pet 1:18-19

#4. We believe that man is a "fallen agent and morally depraved being" and that there is only one way to receive or attain FORGIVENESS OF SIN from God the Father for every sinner (the fallen man). That is each and every sinner has to renounce his past sins, repent, confess and be baptized in the name of Christ Jesus by immersion in water. A genuine change of life and a proper practice of these commands, the sinner is met with the wonderful sacrificed blood of Christ Jesus, which was once for all shed on the cross of Calvary. Rom 5:8-11, Eph 2:14-17, Heb 9:22.

Through this obedience, the sinner is then washed away from his past sins, justified, accepted and added into the church (kingdom) by Christ Jesus. This transition of a sinner into becoming a child of God is referred to as BORN AGAIN. Acts 2:37-47, John 3:1-12

#5. We believe in the PURITY, SANCTITY and HOLINESS of the Lord’s church. The church which is the call-out of saints by the gospel of Christ is one part of God’s plan of saving the world. Therefore the church is deemed to live righteously and shines before the world. 1 Thess 2:12-14, Mat 5:13-16, 1 Cor 10:32, Eph 5:23-32

#6. We believe in the EQUALITY of all the days in the week created by God. Rom 14:5-6. The church honors the first day of the week, Sunday as its day of meeting for worship. We simply follow the Apostles constant day of worship since the inception of the Lord’s church. 1 Cor 16:1-2, Acts 20:7.

#7. We believe that the LORD'S TABLE (Lord's Supper or Communion) was instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ, and that all who believe in Christ and have been baptized for the remission of sin should exercise obedience to Him by assembling themselves together in remembrance of Him in His death until He comes again. Matt 26:26-28; Mk 14:22-24; Lk 22: 19-20; I Cor 11:23-28

#8. We believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, that he is the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that he might reveal God and redeem sinful man. John 1:1-2,14; Lk 1:35

#9. We believe in the REDEMPTION WORK OF CHRIST that He has accomplished our redemption work through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal physical resurrection from the dead. Rom 3:24-25; I Pet 1:3-5, 2:24; Eph 1:7

#10. We believe in the RESURRECTION that there shall be the bodily resurrection of all the dead; both the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord wherein conscious bliss, they await for Heaven, their promised home. Whereas the wicked are reserved in Hades (Tartarus) tormented day and night wherein they await for Hell. John 5:25-29, Acts 24:15, Rev 20:12-15, 1 Thess 4:13-18

ADDENDUM:

The above statements of doctrinal beliefs or tenets of the church are the pillars of platform upon which the rest of its doctrines are built. Its additional doctrines should or must solely conform to the Apostles’ doctrine. Acts 2:42, 2 Tim 2:15, Tit 2:1

The summation of all these tenets could be simply put in these words: The Church of Living God Ministry believes in one God, one body (church), one baptism and one faith which were for once delivered. Eph 4:4-6, Jude 3
