THE OTHER SCRIPT WORTH READING

By Robert Arthur

The Bible has 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in New Testament that we read to know the will of God.
God reveals His will to us through His written words from His prophets. For the Word of God equips us unto every good works. 2 Tim 3:16-17, John 5:39

On the other hand there is another important "script" which also must be read to know Christ Jesus more. And that script is that of our Character, yes is your character!

The composition of our Christian life is far much important to be read and assess by those who are from within and without. It is not a script written by pen and paper, it is indeed the testimony of our Christian life.

The Apostle Paul had to say this concerning our manner of lives. "Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters  of commendation from you? Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward" 2 Cor 3:1-4

Indeed we are epistles (letters, a book, printouts) seen and read by all. Our mould of character must be well drafted or written, it has to be meaningful, soul touching, reflecting in other peoples lives.

Christ Jesus exhorts us to print out our letters of character boldly well before men, for we are truly an example to the world.
Mat 5:13-16 reads "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven".

The other scripture worth reading, is that of the letters of our CHARACTER.

My sincere question is, if your life is a Written Story, which play character role has this attitude of yours plays?

(a) Protagonist (b) Antagonist (c) Hero etc.
