A Study on Luke 15:11-32 [Robert Arthur] A Bible Class Booklet No. 11 Luke the Physician, the writer of the fourth book of the gospels of the Bible, Luke,   and as well as the Book of Acts recorded an intrigue story of the Prodigal son and the Compassionate father . Luke 1:1-4, Acts 1:1, Col 4:14 After the return of the prodigal son, we noticed the father had compassion over his son and gave him certain wonderful gifts. Those gifts from the father should behooves on us a desire to relinquish and count all things lose and unprofitable to gain Christ Jesus. Let us read the full story of the Prodigal Son and his father to know exactly what transpired.   “ And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his subst...

THE HEN AND HER A WEEK OLD 5 CHICKENS

Image
[By Robert Arthur] A Bible Class Booklet No. 20 I concede to what the Psalmist said in Psalms 39:4  "Lord, make me to know my end. And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am". Let me tell you this story about the Hen and her a week-old five (5) Chickens. Once upon a time in ‘Land of Wailing’ the Hen hatched five beautiful chickens. A week later the chickens asked the Hen their mother, mother aren't you taken us out to see the beautiful atmospheric world to enjoy some ants and termites you solely eat. The mother Hen was worried and disturbed with their request but agreed to take them out. On one fateful day the Mother took them out for a wonderful stroke. The chuckle little chickens ate every ant and termite on their way and enjoyed the good atmospheric conditions in the vast world. It was an opportunity of experience to meet and encounter with their other species of birds etc. It was for the day! They had their freedom and h...

"...WHILE HE OPENED TO US THE SCRIPTURES?"

Image
[By Robert Arthur] A Bible Class Booklet No. 24 "And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?"  Lk 24:32 (ASV) This was an open confession of some two Disciples of Christ to the rest of the disciples immediately after their strange encounter with Christ after his resurrection on the road to Emmaus. These disciples could not recognize Christ, because they were blinded miraculously and to the scriptures. All they could ever see was a mere man before them. Ironically, call it, those two men did "preach about Christ to Christ Himself!". Lk 24:17-24 But the scripture said that Christ opened their eyes to see him clear at the time "he  opened  the Scriptures and  explained  [interpreted, expounded] to them the truth concerning Himself". Lk 24:27 Those were not the only disciples who had such an encounter with Christ, but the rest of Christ disciple...

THE ONE TRUE CHURCH

[By Robert Arthur] A Bible Class Booklet No. 15 Many misunderstand and misrepresent the word ‘church’ for many other things. Some say it is a meeting place; others say it is a building in which the congregation meets, still others say the church is a group of individuals who usually meet at one place to sing and pray and read their Bibles and so forth. What does the Word of God says and explains about the word ‘Church’? The Greek word ‘ekklesia’ which is translated ‘church’ means a call-out of people. Those who are called out of the world by the gospel of Christ are the church. Mat 28:18-20, Col 1:13, 1 Thess 2:12-14. When the Israelites were called out of Egypt into the wilderness Stephen referred to them as the church. Acts 7:38 However in the New Testament the word ‘church’ is spoken of in two senses. 1. The Universal Sense: This consists of all the saved [believers, saints] in the whole world. They are the s...
