A SOUND CHURCH

A sound church is not merely a church that sound good, or that has a well painted and decorated buildings or nice edifice but rather one that is firmly anchored in truth and faith. Tit 1:13

A Sound Church has the following features;
1. Sound in Doctrine/Teachings ...Tit 2:1, Tit 1:9, Acts 2:42, 1 Tim 4:13-16, 2 Tim 4:1-4
2. Sound in Faith ...Tit 1:13, 2 Tim 1:13
3. Sound in Unity...John 17:20-21, 1 Cor 1:10-13
4. Sound in Organization...Eph 4:11-16, 1 Tim 3:1-13, Tit 1:5-8
5. Sound in Work ...Tit 3:1, Phil 1:6
6. Sound in Worship ...John 4:24, 1 Pet 4:11
7. Sound in Giving....2 Cor 9:7-8
8. Sound in Zeal ....2 Cor 9:2, 1 Cor 14:12
9. Sound in Leadership....Acts 2:38-47; 6:1-6

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine....Tit 2:1

A backslider is one time faithful child of God who has stopped the fellowship with Christ by living in a sinful lifestyle. Hos 11:7, John 6:60-66 B ).  CAUSES OF BACKSLIDING : What results one into backsliding. 1. Absence of spiritual leaders - Exo 32 2. Evil associations - 1 Cor 15:33-34 3. Worldly success - 1 Tim 6:6-10 4. Shallowness in the word of God - Lk 8:13 5. Nothing to do - Elders should keep members busy - Lk 12:42-48 6. Love for the world - 2 Tim 4:10 7.
