THE APOSTLE PAUL'S LETTER TO THE CHURCH OF LIVING GOD

"And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church....after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, serving the Lord with all humility of mind ...and how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you.." Acts 20:17-20

This was Paul's initial comments to the very Elders and the church he probably have established during his first missionary journey.
Apparently Young Timothy was charged to stay in this church to "teach no other doctrine rather what godly edifies and of sound doctrines" - 1 Tim 1:3, Tit 1:9
Remember, Paul withheld nothing profitable from this church. All things that "pertain to life and godliness" were given them. 2 Pet 1:3

In the middle of the Apostle's meeting, he cautioned the Elders of "falling away and apostasy" and the shared  responsibilities upon their shoulders to "... take heed ... and to all the flock...to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood" Vs. 28

He continued his advice by saying "For I know after my departing shall grievous wolves ...not sparing the flock....therefore watch and remember...of three years I ceased not to warn you.." Acts 20:29-31, 1 Tim 4:1-5. Compare 1 John 2:18-19

Timothy who was placed in charge of the church at Ephesus was also forewarned against such insidious unbelief in Christianity "I charge you...preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables. But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry" 2 Tim 4:2-5

This church was fully equipped and blessed both in faith and in sound doctrines. 
Why? because is the only church the living God purchased (bought, redeemed, cleansed) with His own blood. It is His predestined, prophesied, and His promised church. Isa 2:2, Mic 4:1-3, Mat 16:18.
It is the very household of God. Eph 2:19, Acts 17:28

The church is His adorned bride, His beloved wife. Eph 5:25-32, 2 Cor 11:2-3

The church that has laid down principle in its organization both internal and in public - 1 Tim 2; 3; 4; 5; 6.

The young Timothy was to "be mightiest to war a good warfare.... holding the faith in order to keep the church of God from shipwreck - 1 Tim 1:18-19
What a wonderful and colorful letter that was received by the church of Ephesus.

Those were the words of encouragement made from the Apostle shortly before his departure. "These things I write unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly. But if I tarry long,...know how thou ought to behave thyself...in the house of God, which is the church of living God, the pillar and ground of truth.." 1 Tim 3:14-15.

Indeed we are "the children of living God" - Rom 9:26
